The location was great, just a short walk of 400m to the beautiful beach. The hotel had a classic Mexican charm with all the basic amenities you need. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping our room cool and comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable with thick memory foam mattresses. Despite the age of the sheets and bathroom, they were clean and well-maintained. We had no issues with hot water in the shower, and the water pressure was great. Additionally, if you speak Spanish, communication shouldn't be a problem.

We encountered a couple of issues during our stay. The towels provided were dirty, so we couldn't use them.

I recently stayed at a charming old Mexican hotel in the coastal town of Progreso. The hotel had everything I needed, although it was basic and not without its flaws. However, the AC worked fine, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with thick memory foam mattresses. While the sheets were old, they were still clean, as was the bathroom. I never had to worry about hot water, and being located at the back of the hotel meant it was quiet. I speak Spanish, which made communication easier with the staff. Nevertheless, they were professional but not overly friendly. The hotel's location was decent, just around 400 meters away from the beach. One standout recommendation is to dine at Sol y Mar restaurant, located on the same street heading towards the beach.

We recently stayed at a charming Mexican hotel in Progreso, just 400 meters away from the beach. the AC worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay. the beds were thick memory foam, providing excellent support for a good night's sleep. Although the sheets were old, they were clean. the bathroom, although slightly dated, was kept in a clean condition and had plenty of hot water. Our room was located at the back, so it was quiet and peaceful during our stay. the staff did their jobs efficiently, although they were not overly friendly. As a Spanish speaker, I had no issues communicating with them. Lastly, we highly recommend trying out Sol y Mar restaurant on the same street heading towards the beach for a delicious meal. Cons: Everything was exactly what I needed and wanted. 💯.
